Update from Rineke in Nepal

The first 14 days after landing weren´t easy as certain developments were not as planned or expected. After analysing the situation, it became clear that the initial information had not been sufficient so we need to meet and gather to rectify wherever there have been misunderstandings. A good learning curve!
In Pokhara we work with Magar people, who belong to the same cast and who hardly ever enjoyed education themselves. This is quite an extra challenge, which I gladly accept as they are all beautiful people.
The community has two representatives who speak some english but we try to communicate in nepalese most of the time.

In Satrasaya, we work with a more diversified group from different casts, which makes the communication and work easier.

I will keep you posted.

With love from Nepal,

Rineke
