Renuka´s project approved by Startfund, Netherlands!
Last week, the selection committe of Fred Foundation´s Starfund in the Netherlands gathered to evaluate the different applications and and meet with the project representatives. From the many applicants, they approved the Renuka project to finance the Montessori education teachers in the Day Care Centres in both Yanchok and Satsaraya. The attributed funding amounts to 4.600 euros and Renuka will need to find additional co-sponsors before Dec 11, which is one of the grants conditions.
This project is a new one, but strongly related to the one as placed at UnitingPeople as both aim to introduce the Montesorri education system. The project granted by Startfund is meant to finance the Montserorri education in the 2 daycare centres whereas UnitingPeople is concentrating its efforts to finance the Montserrori education in the 2 continious boardingschools, making sure that the education follows the same "learning while playing", peaceful way of teaching.
