Vegetable Garden and Chicken Farm has been accepted!
Startfund Global has entirely accepted the application for a vegetable garden and chicken farm (12.370 $) which was filed by UnitingPeope. This is such wonderful news as it will allow us to become more self supportive for the daily meals we provide and will also teach the children about sustainable farming.
For the chicken and vegetable farm we have just paid a deposit on land as we found the best piece of land next to the school and the owner had a buyer, so we had to put a hold on it. It is now secure in our hands. We could not put the chicken farm on our school grounds as it is a health hazard and a violation. We checked with the Ministry of Health and Education. This is why we needed the land walking distance to the school. We will begin this project as soon as we receive the grant from Startfund.
