Jacaranda: Science Lab for Aids Orphans School - Weblog

Robert Burke and SAS great supporters of Jacaranda School.

Robert explains:

“This place has become something very special in my live. It is an honor to be able to help.
I teach High School at the Shanghai American School is China and have been involved with the Jacaranda School since December 2008. Last June I took a group of students to Malawi and we visited the school, 23 in total. Words cannot describe our experience. We have been changed and want to continue to strengthen our relationship with the School. Our fund raising efforts last year amounted to $31,000 which paid for books, some desks and built the bathrooms. When we left we told Marie and Luc that we would work on raising money for the Science Labs

Every fund raising effort goes towards bettering the school and helping the children, that I can assure you. Luc and Marie are such wonderful and caring
people. There is such a beautiful feeling inside the walls of the school. You immediately feel that the children are so happy there and that it is their sanctuary.

I will return to Jacaranda in June with another group, 24 students and 4 teachers. We are so excited about visiting again. Thanks you for your support of the Jacaranda School.”
