We completed the 1st floor of our Disability center
Just last Thursday we celebrated the completion of the 1st floor of the Hope Disability Centre, with dignitaries, speeches, food, and a Powerpoint presentation. We are bringing our Prosthetics and Orthotics manager on board the middle of this month, and he will be hiring 2 assistants, and firing up the oven so we can make our own prostheses for children as part of the project with Handicap International.
We have identified 1600 children and youth with disabilities in just 3 of the 10 districts here, and now the next 5 months will be full on with helping them. No more searching door to door to find them. Now we serve them!
The boxes of material that dear Dr. Barnosell has pulled together will be very much appreciated.
