Yanchok people is waiting for us

February 8, 2009: Despite the fact we're not in Nepal, the local villagers already did arrange the first preparations for the new school. The Nepali coordinator Nar Bahadur Amgai informed us that the larger stones for laying the foundations have been digged up and have been brought to the building excavation. Smaller stones (by beating the larger stones in small pieces) are also used for the foundation. To construct the windows and the roof they need wood, which is chopped and taken to the building excavation too. This self motivation is the 30% contribution to the project of the local villagers.

The mothergroup is co-operating in close harmony, together with the men's group. This is stimulating all people (including the surrounding villages) to become active; so they are very eager to start. Arnold and Rineke Gronert will fly to Nepal on the 11th of March, to stay there for 2,5 months and coordinate the construction of the school.

There's made a start with the newly build water place. The current one is always dry during the warmest period, and due to that the women have to get the water from far away. This new waterplace will be a relief in this period, especially for all women over there.
