Yanchok daycare is almost finished!
Construction works of the school in Yanchok is almost finished. I am really impressed what these people achieved within two months. The Nepali way is “bistari, bistari”, meaning “slow, slow”. Indeed, after a slow start they fully realized that they had to take initiative in order to get things done. Nowadays there’s a man who temporary skipped his normal job to support in the construction of the building. Two other are continuously available and they also do it voluntarily. The bricks collected by the women don’t want to get paid for it. The local people are very proud about the school and beside that they’re very satisfied with the idea of the new developments the village is facing.
It’s both a fantastic and gracious building, opening the 23rd of May. On the 24th of May there’s a huge picknick to thank everyone for their support and efforts. There’s only one little issue and that’s about the budgets. Therefore we hope for some people who are keen to financially support our daycare project too.
The 29th of May I am leaving Nepal again, with the sad idea I have to live without these beautiful people for 9 months.
