The first pillars in Yangchok!

In the meantime I am now staying for 4 weeks in Nepal and still a few months to go. Arriving at the two previously started Child Care Centres (CCC- in Yampa and Satrasaya) I was very surprised with the progression they made in the Montessory school system. Although the Satrasaya CCC has a higher start level, they’re both making a lot of progress! The diversity in teaching has changed dramatically over the past year, although of course the basis will remain the Nepali school system. We’re now preparing steps to let the CCCs become more independent.

The new project in Yanchok is making hugh steps forward. After the Silanes (a ritual to get blessings for a prosperous future of the building) the first trajectory was a bit slow. But, by supporting them to coordinate all processes and help them making better agreements with and understanding between the constructors, everything is progressing much smoother. The foundation and the concrete pillars are already finished!

The building committee is monitoring the workers every day and administrating the working hours and days. We directly check all purchased materials and the financials. All our efforts are focusing on educate the local people to take as much as responsibility as possible.

You can expect the next update within a few weeks!
