Progress of the Multipurpose Training Centre in Bafmeng-Cameroon
Dear Tatiana and Supporters of our project,
We are very happy for the donations you have made to support our project. We were very grateful for the 1000 Euros you sent which permitted us to go to the project site to add more equipment in the centre.
We bought two (02) additional sewing machines in the tailoring workshop to add to four (04) that were already there. We have twelve (12) children (2 boys and 10 girls) in the tailoring workshop and we have sensitised the public to receive children during holiday who are interested in this training. We already have about six (06) children who have indicated to participate in the holiday special training session. The additional machines will solve the many-to-one machine problem.
Also in the tailoring workshop, we have purchased tissue material, 90% of which is the various school uniform used in the locality. This will help to centre to place school uniform in the market for the next school year (2010/2011). In addition, we also purchased material like threads, design catalogues.
In the hairdressing workshop we purchased beauty needs: meshes, oil products of various brands. I would like to remark that children are more interested in the tailoring section than the hairdressing section. For now we have five (05) children in the hairdressing section and only few have indicated to participate in the holiday special training program, though still to confirm. We hope more children will indicate in the days ahead.
We have internet connection problem, and so I will sent pictures next time.
Best regards
