Overcrowded Schools
Due to the recent earthquake in Port-au-Prince, the village of Abricots has had more then 10,000 returnees. This has put quite a stress on Paradis des Indiens schools. Classrooms that were already overcrowded with an average of 35 children, now average over 58 children per class. Even the smallest children are now affected, the kindergarten class that had an average of 20 children, now is averaging over 60 children. Paradis des Indiens is now feeding over 3,000 children a day.
